Short answer
Amazon publishes two dispute routes for Relay. Submit payment disputes in the Relay portal within 30 days of reviewing your weekly invoice, and let Relay know to dispute on-time score impacts. There's no published route for rejected loads.
What can you dispute on Amazon Relay?
Less than most carriers expect. Amazon publishes a dispute route for two things: payments and on-time performance. For most other problems it publishes nothing, and for one it says plainly there's no appeal.
| Dispute type | Where Amazon says to file | Published deadline |
|---|---|---|
| Payment | The Amazon Relay portal | 30 days from reviewing your weekly invoice |
| Performance (on-time) | "Let Relay know" (exact menu isn't public) | None published |
| Rejected load (acceptance) | No route published | None |
| Trip completion | Not mentioned anywhere | None |
| Driver verification | No route; Amazon manually reviews failed selfie checks | None |
| Roadside inspection violation limits | No appeal | Not applicable |
| Cargo loss or theft | Relay support center, with documentation | None published |
The exact menu path for every dispute type sits behind the Relay login, so we can't show it here.
How do you file a payment dispute on Amazon Relay?
In the portal. Amazon's Relay FAQ says: "You can submit payment disputes directly through Amazon Relay portal within 30 days of reviewing your weekly invoice."
That's the only dispute deadline Amazon publishes. It doesn't say what proof it wants or how long a review takes. Compare each invoice to the base rate, fuel and tolls you saw at booking, and file soon if something's off. Our Amazon Relay payments guide covers the weekly pay cycle and what to check.
How do you file a performance dispute on Amazon Relay?
Amazon's performance score guide says, in its on-time section: "If something happens along the way, carriers can let Relay know and dispute performance score impacts." Amazon measures on-time from the check-in timestamp at the site.
Amazon doesn't publish a deadline for performance disputes, what evidence a dispute needs, how long a decision takes, or whether there's a second level of appeal.
The same guide says Relay's support center for onboarded carriers "addresses common scenarios that affect performance scores." In September 2026 Amazon said it's "now resolving performance disputes 20% faster," without giving a starting point.
Two habits help. Report schedule changes to the Relay Operations Center as they happen. Amazon's hours of service post says that helps your score reflect "only the factors within your control." And don't sit on a dispute, since no deadline is published. Our scorecard guide explains all four metrics. If you need to write one up, our free Relay dispute letter tool lets you tick what's true and copy a letter. Amazon decides.
Can you dispute a rejected load on Amazon Relay?
Amazon publishes no route for it. The performance score guide says your score "can take a hit any time a carrier rejects tendered loads," and "That includes letting loads expire." Its dispute language covers on-time only.
One thing does work in your favor. If Amazon cancels a tendered load, your score isn't impacted. More in our guide to cancelling an Amazon Relay load.
Is there a trip completion or driver verification dispute?
Not one Amazon publishes. The phrase "trip completion dispute" appears on no public Relay page. If a trip problem shows up in your pay, the payment dispute route above is the one Amazon documents.
For driver verification, Amazon's driver eligibility page says "Amazon manually reviews unsuccessful selfie checks" and warns that "Multiple failed selfie checks can impact a driver's and carrier's access to Relay." It describes no dispute process. New driver documents (CDL front and back plus a selfie) are typically reviewed within 48 hours.
What can't you appeal on Amazon Relay?
Roadside inspection violation limits. Amazon's inspection violations post says: "Like BASICs violations, we won't offer an appeal process." Carriers with "three or more inspections that exceed our violation limits may lose access to Relay loads."
Is there an Amazon Relay dispute phone number?
No. The FAQ says it directly: "Amazon Relay doesn't have an official contact phone number." Our guide to contacting Amazon Relay lists where Amazon sends each problem instead.
How do you report cargo loss or theft on Relay?
Amazon's cargo theft post says carriers "must also report loss prevention issues in the Relay support center with relevant documentation, such as a police report."
What about a legal dispute with Amazon?
The Conditions of Use on the Relay site send "Any dispute or claim relating in any way to your use of any Amazon Service" to binding arbitration. Those are the general site terms. The carrier agreement itself isn't public.
Where does NudoIQ fit?
NudoIQ is a Chrome extension for Amazon Relay, an independent tool not affiliated with Amazon. On the Relay scorecard page, it finds the violation and drafts a dispute letter. You check it and submit it, and Amazon decides. On the load board it shows net and net per mile under the price on every load card. It's free for 7 days with no card needed to start, then $49.99 a month.
